KIDO RYU in Trinidad for Spring Break!

My Course Offerings for this visit are varied.

First, I work with students ages 3 yrs and up.

I also accept students of all challenges and skill levels.

I do not discriminate against color, race, religion or past exprerience.

I also do not give honorary ranks.  All of my students are trained by me personally.

I will cover subjects in Hapkido/Tae kwon do such as KIDO Flexibility Sets

(floor stretches, Bar Stretches, Moving Stretches, and Partner Stretches),

Chambering the hands and legs, Pivoting, Postures and Stance work, Internal Breathing Patterns of KIDO, Conditioning drills, the Original KIDO 13 Self Defense Techniques, Bow staff and Escrima Forms.

In Northern Shaolin Kung Fu,  I will cover and present the Iron Shirt, Yi Jin Jing, Damo's Static Postures, the Stance Work and Combination Drills of the Shaolin Temple that I trained in.

In Aiki Skills, I will present the KIDO Set of Rolls & Falls, 7 Judo Throws, Reaps, Sweeps, Come-a-longs, and Course #1 The combination of the Rolls & Falls, Throws, Locks, and strikes as used for Self Defense purposes.

I will also offer my KIDO Course called "Control without Excessive Force"A course developed in the Dojo and proposed by me for use to the Police Department of Puerto Rico in 2007.  My next Course Offering is called: Interchangeable Technique & Transitional Footwork...a course I developed for in the Dojo use.  It is intended to nurture the cooperation of the partners through synchronicity of the breath, movements, and applications.  Training the students in a safe and cooperative manner.  This allows the students to become more knowledgeable of the self through working with partners to develope their skills together.  If I know me, I know you.  This course ends with a Show and Tell time with the partners.  This allows the students to combine the training with the art they are already studying and leads to self expression.

Regarding "Morning Tai Chi"...this offering will begin with #18 Set of Chi Kung we do daily, each exercise drill will be displayed, and broken down at presentation,  these are moving energy exercises.  next we will present the Forms and Postures of Morning Tai Chi, their use and applications, concepts such as Solid, Empty, Walking Drills, Fan Style #1, Sword Forms #1 & #7, Push Hands Drills

(stationary & moving) (single & double hand drills)

All those artist wishing to discuss joining our KIDO RYU International

organization for the purposes of accessing the Knowledge, Dojo Charters and memberships will please contact Sensei Nero for an appointment with me.

I appreciate your precious time and thank you in advance for your support and help.

Our mission statement:
Through martial science we aim to assist the communities we serve by implementing positive programs for the re-enforcement of healthy habits in our youth and adults.  We are truely concerned with "Self-Defense". The protection of one's self and their loved ones.  This implies a concern into how martial arts is being presented.  It is our aim to develope good and compassionite members of our society and to share Martial knowledge to all receptive to its expression. RT

Since 1970 we have been serving the Brooklyn community.
We have always supported community based artist that nurture the community they live in.  These days our community has grown to unimaginable proportions.  Thanks to the receptivity of the local instructors we have met around the world, at competitions, seminars, cross-trainings, hall of fame events, etc. we have been able to enjoy sharing our expression and also we have had the pleasure to enjoy other expressions on our travels.  We have so much in common.

Record of Completion
In the past we have worked successfully with the
Ministry of Education as well as with the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs ( in Trinidad) to bring in talented Master level Teachers of the Martial Arts to teach martial arts to the youth of Trinidad & Tobago.  Through our work with the Black Hawks Martial Arts Network over the years we have been instrumental in upgrading the level of competency of the athletes' of this country to successfully compete on the international stage.

Grand Master Christopher Francis and Professor Ruben Torres have worked together for years to build a network of continuing education for the martial artists in the Caribbean.

These days the KIDO RYU  are moving forward to develope their own students in the Caribbean.
The Black Hawks Martial Arts Network under the guidance of Professor Francis have teamed up with Master Kevin Hufford/Dragon Fire Dojo(upstate new York) and  have successfully promoted their Pan-Caribbean International Martial Arts Championships every year for the past 5 years.
